Dr. Drew Cangelosi, PhD
Psychologist
Dr. Cangelosi brings over 30 years of clinical experience to his practice. He earned his PhD from the University of Iowa in 1980 and has been dedicated to helping individuals, couples, and families navigate life's challenges ever since. His approach integrates multiple therapeutic modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness-based techniques, and person-centered therapy to create personalized treatment plans for each client.
Dr. Cangelosi specializes in treating anxiety, depression, trauma and PTSD, addiction and substance use, and relationship issues. He also works with clients dealing with anger management, behavioral issues, divorce, life transitions, and mood disorders. Additionally, he provides counseling for sports performance enhancement and stress management, serving clients across all age groups from children to elders.
Kate Kolbert, M.A., LPC

Kate Kolbert has been a Licensed Professional Counselor since 2012, bringing warmth and practical expertise to her therapeutic practice. She believes in flexible, consumer-driven therapy that combines psychotherapy with practical problem-resolution strategies. Kate's approach is collaborative and tailored to each individual's unique circumstances and goals.
Kate specializes in mental health counseling, substance abuse, depression, and anxiety. She also works extensively with clients on relationship issues, self-image concerns, LGBTQ issues, anger management, and bullying. Her practice includes comprehensive assessments, treatment planning, and crisis management to support clients through their most challenging moments.
Anthony Picaro, LPC
Licensed Professional Counselor
Anthony (Tony) Picaro is known for his compassionate and down-to-earth approach to therapy. He provides both individual and group therapy, offering mental and emotional guidance while continuously researching advanced therapeutic techniques to provide the best care possible. Patients describe him as one of the most knowledgeable and empathetic therapists they've worked with.
A member of the NJ Coaches Hall of Fame who currently gives private baseball lessons, Tony brings a unique perspective to sports-related therapy for young athletes. His f irsthand understanding of the pressure and challenges young teens face in competitive sports allows him to provide specialized counseling. Tony also specializes in treating anxiety, depression, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD); he works with clients dealing with behavioral disorders, phobias, bereavement, marital difficulties, as well as those struggling with addiction, sexual abuse trauma, and suicide prevention.
Rona A. Geiser, M.A., LPC
Licensed Professional Counselor
Rona Geiser has been practicing as a Licensed Professional Counselor for 35 years since earning her M.A. in Counseling from Kean University in 1991. Her philosophy centers on providing elegant and efficient counseling focused on concrete outcomes. Rona offers flexible scheduling with morning, afternoon, and evening appointments to accommodate all her patient’s needs.
Rona specializes in ADHD, anxiety, depression, and behavioral issues. She provides expert counseling for divorce, marital and premarital relationships, parenting challenges, and school-related issues. She also works with clients on self-esteem, women's issues, emotional disturbance, and life coaching. Her therapeutic approaches include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), family and marital therapy, and person-centered techniques.

Maggie Picaro is the heart of The Westfield Center for Counseling. For over 30 years, she has been the first friendly face clients see when they arrive and the warm voice they hear when they call. A former English teacher, Maggie brings her natural gift for communication and genuine care for people to everything she does.
While Maggie is not a therapist, her three decades of experience at the counseling center have given her invaluable insight into matching clients with the therapist who best fits their needs. Patients consistently praise her warmth, kindness, and ability to make them feel comfortable from the moment they walk through the door. Maggie’s dedication to creating a welcoming environment and her exceptional ability to connect with people make her an irreplaceable part of our team.
